Jasmine Cottage, Sleeps Four – 2 Bedrooms

A luxury self catering holiday cottage with two ensuite bedrooms.

An old “thrashing barn” built in the 1700’s in which the families then living at Downe milled their own grain, Jasmine is now a single story two-bedroom cottage with high vaulted ceilings and open plan living, dining and kitchen areas.

Jasmine is beautifully decorated and fully centrally heated. 

It looks North up to Lundy Island and West towards the Atlantic. To the West of the cottage is a dedicated seating area with garden table and chairs and guests spend many of their mealtimes looking out over the lawns and borders that form the Cottage Gardens, across green fields and hedges to the Atlantic Ocean. If they listen very carefully, beyond the silence that wraps Downe in its arms, they can hear the distant whisper of Atlantic breakers crashing against the shore.

Late on a Summer’s evening, with a glass in hand and a good book at one’s side, the sense of tranquility can be almost tangible.
